About Kaye Gardner

A true romantic, Kaye Gardner weaves her tales of love while taking you to distant places that set your mind free to wander. Committed to bringing you heartfelt and passionate love stories, Kaye Gardner creates characters who will surprise and delight you with their true-to-life dilemmas and their enduring belief in true love.

Kaye Gardner is the pen name for two hopeful romantics, Patti Smith and Jan Hambrick. They became good friends when Jan arrived at a new grammar school and met Patti on the playground during recess. Though they started college together at West Georgia, Patti went on to graduate from Georgia State University with a degree in Journalism while Jan received her first degree from Kennesaw State University then later continued her education earning a second degree in Liberal Arts from Colorado State University.

While their friendship grew, their individual life paths took them, one at a time, from the Atlanta area to South Florida. There they spent many fun and exotic weeks traveling by ship to various ports of call in the Caribbean. It was during these many cruises that the idea for their first romance novel, Stars on Twilight, was born.

Patti and Jan both love to write and have achieved a very synergistic partnership that encourages them to pen novels filled with fun and romance. Currently, Patti lives in rural Georgia with her blueberry patch, her garden, and her dog, Lillie. Jan lives in Boulder, Colorado near her daughter and her family. As of this writing, they are at work on the second novel in the trilogy, Distant Stars.

"You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth."
